Honey, Bees, Queens, Pollination and Beeswax candles

Our Story

I started beekeeping in 1996.   Actually 1975 if you count the very first hive I got from a downed tree.

Raw Unfiltered Honey

Our honey and beeswax are available for online ordering or local customers can use the self service / drive through . Our honeys change with the seasons, right now its Soybean and Wildflower honey!

Whipped, Spun or Creamed Honey

This is a type of honey that has been whipped or spun to create a thick, spreadable consistency.  It is created by blending granulated honey crystals with liquid honey until it reaches the desired creamy texture and then slowly crystallizing it in large cooling tanks or directly in the container.

Whipped and Creamed Honey are not the same thing.

Whipped Honey has a lot of air in the mixture, almost like a marshmallow cream consistency.

Creamed Honey is made by blending the honey slower to prevent the incorporation of air into the mixture.

Place it in the refrigerator to harden the texture if you prefer.  Take it out and bring it to room temperature to bring it back to a smooth creamy and spreadable texture.

Store below 75 degrees.

Soybean Honey

Soybean honey is made in only a few locations in the world including North East Arkansas.  You need hot dry weather and the correct type of soil.

Soybean is a premium honey.  Its taste has been described as smooth with no lingering aftertaste, sort of a light fruity, almost cherry flavor.

Chunk, Comb and Ross Rounds Honey

What's the difference?

Chunk honey is a piece of comb in a jar filled with honey.

Comb is a piece of comb in a box.

Ross Rounds is comb built directly into the container by the bees.

Good comb honey isn't easy to make.

Honey Sticks

Honey sticks are sealed straws filled with honey.

Pollen

I will start offering pollen this spring.
